I’m Nick Maclean and I am a piano teacher, composer, performer and band leader. I hold a Masters of Jazz Performance from the University of Toronto and a Bachelors of Music from Humber College. I teach students of all ages and levels of proficiency. I’ve been teaching privately for many years. I also teach at several lesson studios around the city and hold jazz improvisation masterclasses in various high schools around the GTA and in the wider Ontario region. Each of my students gets a personally tailored curriculum designed to target their weaknesses and allow them to pursue music that they find fun and interesting. I teach all styles and genres although I personally specialize in jazz. I have very affordable rates and I teach out of my downtown studio.
